Nora Paul, experta en Periodismo Asistido por Computadora, recomienda que al hacer investigaciones en línea sigamos los mismos parámetros que cuando redactamos una entrada de nota: responder QUÉ, QUIÉN, CÓMO, CUÁNDO, DÓNDE y POR QUÉ.

 

    • Qué quieres hacer: confirmar una información, encontrar un experto, definir un tema, convencer a un editor.
    • Qué tipo de información necesitas: estadísticas, fuentes, contexto, antecedentes históricos.
    • Qué tipo de investigación estás haciendo: un análisis, un perfil, un reportaje, seguimiento de un tema.
    • Qué tipo de información será útil y dónde puede estar: notas periodísticas, información oficial, archivos, etc.
    • Quiénes son las personas y/o fuentes clave para obtener información.
    • Cuándo ocurrió el hecho.
    • Dónde ocurrió: ubicación geográfica.
    • Por qué es necesario hacer la investigación: para encontrar una fuente, investigar un tema, para encontrar o corroborar un dato, etc.

 

 En función a las respuestas que des a las preguntas podrás determinar las fuentes y el tiempo que dedicarás a hacer la búsqueda.
